Last Project Meeting in Slovenia and Exchange with Rena, Norway

¡¡¡¡viva Comenius!!!!

Our project is running out ... is a pity, but we can take look back and see all the good thatour students, faculty and school has learned.

The 18th of May our teachers close the project The Babel Tower in Slovenia last schoolto visit.

And most importantly, we have prepared an exchange of 12 students @ s de 3 º ESO,who will visit Norway, Arne school, the teacher who visited us last year from Rena, Norway.

Spend a week living with Norwegian students speaking English ... Of course an unforgettable experience for the senses and mind.

Also, if all goes well, next year we will have a new project with different schools of Europe, which would meet our fellow Norwegians ... would be a great way to start two years directing future work together.

So once again ... Comenius alive!!

Sofia´s fellings about her Comenius Exchange experience

"A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to experience to understand and accommodate some Polish girls who came to our city exchange. Living with them was very intense, as part of English practice, which was the purpose of this activity, we also know first hand other customs and other forms of life, as they have a way of life very different from Spanish.
We share a week of travel, tours, shopping, fights, disappointments, tears and of course meaningless laughter.
Personally, I was lucky, because I began a close friendship with the girl I play host, and all.
My friends were lucky to go last year there exchange to Poland, but not me. So this was new to me. I was not sure to do the first few days, or how. I was very nervous, because I was not used to having a stranger at home many days, which was only the first 2 odd, and very light we get used to each other, but in the end, we had a very wrong with farewell, and we had caught a lot of care in a few days.
In short, this experience has been the best of my life, never forget. "

OUR TRIP TO TAVIRA - 17/06/2010

Elena López (Comenius Student)

We were very excited this morning at the school talking about this trip until the bus came. It was a very long trip for us, because we were nervous.
When we arrived everybody was in the "Clube Nautico" (in english Nautical Club). They were waiting for us with music and very happy faces.
Monica, Cristina, Paula and I met the students who had been in Spain in our homes some months ago, Andre, Joana, Laura and Guillerme.
We were also very happy and excited because we met other students who were very funny and nices too.
Then we got in a sailing boat, it was very special and funny. At lunch, we (I mean spanish students and Alvaro, our teacher) went to Tavira´s island. We took a boat to go there, and in three minutes we were in the shore.
We crossed the island and in the beach were our schoolmates and more teachers (Mª Paz and Pepe). We had lunch and then our portugueses friends came.
We played football, rugby and volleyball and we played also in the sea. When we played rugby (almost all the players were girls) our spanish team lost, but we had fun all together. We had a very, very good time.
At 17:30 we had to go because our bus was waiting for us in Tavira. It was a very difficult moment because we didn't want to come back to Spain. We took some photos and saw them off.
On the way back we were very tired and some people were sleeping, other ones watched a comedy movie.
We came back to our school at 20:45.

Summary of the exchange to Poland.

Comenius Project : Poznán March 2010

Last April 7th the 3rd grade students of Compulsary Secondary Education from Antonio Gala school made an exchange programme with the Ryszard Kapuściǹski school, wich is located in Poznan (Poland). Eleven girl students together with three teachers from our school took part in the project.
The experience has been really positive, as the objectives we worked on home been the following ones. Using English as a means for comunications, they have learnt some Polish words, their traditions and culture (typical food, education, monuments...) We would also like to mention the visits to other cities like Gdánsk, the visit to the Baltic sea, the Malbork castle...
Within this enjoyable exchange, we were taught and we also taught them the typical dances from each city, as well as “sevillanas”.
It has been a week sharing their every day life either at home or at school. Our students adapted them selves to their way of life and they also learnt from it as Polish partipants have learnt about our life styles. But above all, they have become friends and they will meet again next year. They keep in contact by e-mail or facebook.
We must highlight the friendly welcome we were given, not only by the families, but also by our colleagues. We felt al home during our stay there.
We thank the Comenius Project for the chance to approach other languages, speak different languages and enrich ourselves. We truly families to take part in this awesome experience.

Cyprus meeting was fantastic...

First comenius experience by Lidia (Primary teacher)

Last 18th of March Amaya, Emilio, Álvaro and me arrived to Cyprus. I had never imagined that I would travel to that fabulous place. I surprised when I realized the some similar aspects that Cyprus shares with Andalusia: the weather, nice, funny and helpful people, landscapes…
We stayed at a hotel located in a small village called Kakopetria, a bit far from Nicosia, the capital. Kakopetria has a lot of narrow streets that hide old houses and cute coffee shops. We met a lot of teachers from different countries like Poland, Italy, Sicily, Portugal, of course: Danuta, Monika, Nuno, Graça,Guido, Luis, Steios, Christine, Demetra , Tula, Anne, Evrydiki (sorry but some names are very difficult for me to write and pronounce). As well as we also met some relatives of these teachers that accompanied us to visit some gorgeous places like Afrodite’s beach, the ruins of Paphos, Troodos mountains and typical taverns of Cyprus that remind me to Greece. I forgot to tell you that Cyprus is invaded by Turkish troops that stay at the northern part. It is incredible to find a church and a few meters later, find a mosque. You can also see people who wears like us and a few meters later, people who wears robes on their heads… It seemed that, you had jumped to another country: Turkey …
To sum up, I liked very much this experience, talk about education and the learning process with foreign teacher that gave me another point of view and have enriched the trip. THANK YOU SO MUCH COMENIUS!!!! I HOPE TO REPEAT!!!

Some photos about our visit to show you the marvalous activities...
